Today marked the close of the conference “Sailing Toward the Future – The Luxury Shipbuilding Sector in the Marche Region”, organized by Marche Yachting & Cruising Association (MYCA) and hosted at the Chamber of Commerce in Ancona.
As PAD PROJECT, we took part in this significant opportunity for dialogue, which brought together institutions, companies from the nautical supply chain, and academic representatives.
During the event, the Università Politecnica delle Marche presented research on the state of luxury shipbuilding in the region and on docking infrastructure for superyachts, offering a current and concrete snapshot of a rapidly expanding sector.
The conference focused on key topics essential for the development of the regional nautical sector:
Representatives from the Marche Region, the Central Adriatic Port Authority, the Maritime Department of the Marche, and the Regional School Office shared their insights in a constructive dialogue with industry players.
Discussion also included the redevelopment of the former Tubimar area in Ancona, with the aim of restoring it for use by shipbuilding companies.
We returned from the conference with a stronger awareness that meeting the challenges of the future requires collaboration, vision, and shared commitment.
The growth of the sector also depends on the ability to connect experiences and expertise, engaging in concrete dialogue with institutions and the local area.
That’s why we are proud to have taken part in such an inspiring and forward-looking moment.
